We arrived at a really busy time over Xmas and I was surprised the manager immediately took us up to our room rather than just hand us the keys. The food was excellent and the service top notch. "Our trip to this hotel was overall a pleasant experience, however a couple of items regarding this hotel need to be addressed. 1. The carpets areceorn and dirty, they need changing or at the very least cleaning. 2. The hot water in the shower takes too long to heat up (approximately a minutes) 3. "Had a family room in the annexe overlooking the river. Very spacious for us and the dog. The only negatives a bigger fridge would have been nice for a week's stay. And there was workmgoing on at the building next door so a bit noisy but would definitely stay again"

"The cottage was rustic and gave a good experience of old cottage living. The customer clean-up was unexpected with having to take care of all bedding and linens. The shed that we were required to put the dirty linens in was not very user friendly with broken door and moldy linens from some previous clients still in there."
