Use to be better when it was a 4 diamonds resort. Now it's a Hilton Hotel and you can tell.. Also we didn't like at all the Javier restaurant, over price, limited menu and we had a very terrible experience with a food allergy. We was expecting more from a fine dining restaurant, the other restaurant next to the pool is 100 times better. Stuff it's always great.

We had such a great vacation!! Lovely resort-meticulously maintained. Everyone is super friendly. Great lunch options by pool. Cafe is great for quick breakfast (pastries are to die for!) and coffee. Mercado is useful for water, snacks, toiletries, etc...The spa is unbelievable. A number of shops and restaurants nearby and 5 minute taxi to San Jose, 15 min walk to large grocery store. We had a 2 bed/2 bath suite with ocean views and only wonderful things to say (I love the daily housekeeping too!).

A very beautiful property. Very clean and well managed. The staff was very accommodating and helpful in my choice to upgrade my room to ocean view. The one bedroom suites with kitchen are amazing! The staff had organized daily activities for the guests. Just a good vibe all around! The beach is perfect directly in front of the resort. Very peaceful compared downtown Cabo. Starbucks and market on site, as well as Javier’s restaurant! Amazing food and service

Cabo Azul is a beautiful well run resort. The staff is attentive and all seem to walk around with a smile. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and clean. I love that there is a laundry on every floor! I think Cabo Azul would benefit from having more dining options. This is the only hotel in Mexico that I’ve ever been to that does not offer a breakfast buffet. Other than the lack of dining options, Cabo Azul is perfect and a great value.

The issues below overshadowed what could have been an otherwise good review. Highly disappointed in the checkin desk staff. We paid extra for the full ocean view room on Expedia. However, what they gave us was a ground floor room facing pool cabañas. When I went back to the check in desk to request the room that I had booked they said we would have to check out next day and spend the day without a room for the entire day if we wanted a full ocean view room. Also our room had a huge mosquito issue that we complained about and house keeping said they fixed it but did seem like they did. Another issue was the jacuzzi in our room didn’t work.

It is a beautiful hotel and the staff is gracious, however bottled water is not provided and the food at the resort is twice what you would expect to pay. Everything is ala crate. The pools close too early and they will try to sell you a time share everyday. Buyer beware
