"Great place just a couple of issues but would stay there again 100%. Nobody to greet us on arrival but got key once contact made via phone (after finding number). Wrong room given (double instead of twin). Rectified and had a great stay. Great location - short enjoyable walk from beachfront. "Out 5th stay at the Vallemar and standards remain consistently high. An excellent frontline hotel with a wonderful roof terrace and pool. The hotel restaurant overlooks the Lago Martínez and provides a large range of buffet style dishes with produce sourced from its own organic farm. The restaurant staff are professional and attentive. "Really good location and only a short walk to the bus station. Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in Puerto , there was something for everyone to eat and very good quality. "The majority of staff were really helpful and kind and added to my solo visit. Despite mynoriginal booking needsbbeing clear and speaking in advance with the hotels reservations i was given a room on the 8th floor with mainly a street view on arrival. It was late so i took it. The next i day moved to suit my needs and disabilities. The room was comfortable, but i had to get my AC fixed. "Overall terrible experience. The bed for uncomfortable the room was hot and outdated and the towels were like cardboard. We asked to be reimbursed for the night we weren’t going to use because it was that bad and we found another hotel. Of course, they said that they cannot refund us the money, but they were quick to charge us the entire day upon check-in. Stay away from this place. "

"Room was tidy. Mattresses are firm. No car parking on site, but only a 5 min walk to a car park. Staff were friendly. Wifi didn’t work at all for 9 nights. When showering, make sure the front power switch is on or the water won’t heat up. The location is perfect. Township right at your door. "

"Great hotel right in the centre of Puerto de la Cruz, my room had a sea view & balcony overlooking the lido which was nice. I lost my mobile in a taxi and the reception staff (who are very friendly!) phoned the local taxi company and got it back for me which I wouldn't have been able to do on my own as the taxi company only speaks Spanish so I am very grateful for this. Would recommend this hotel."
