Lovely atmosphere, clean rooms and great food. The hotel is older, but so much more charming than large chain hotels. We had excellent sushi delivered to our room and were gifted complimentary brownies (some of the best we’ve ever had) This was our second visit - but not our last.

Very nice, clean, well equipped room. We had a last minute booking while traveling around Norway, and the staff was able to accommodate for our arrival after their reception was closed. There's also convenient parking available nearby.

Nice stay in Mandal!
This hotel lived up to my expectations. It's centrally located in Mandal, just in the middle of the old town. The building itself is quite old, but it's been maintained well. Checkin went smooth at the bar of the restaurant. Two minutes after attending I was in my room already. The room is clean, well maintained and has everything one expects. Just a tiny detail: a reading light near the bed would have been fantastic. My stay included wifi: fast and reliable. Just a note: check the Norwegian site of the poster in your room for the password, as it has been translated to English there, and the English variant doesn't work of course. Breakfast was included. It was simple, but everything was there and everything was fresh. The bread was still warm, even. Staff was professional, friendly and helpful. All in all, I got a good stay and I definitely will be back next time when visiting this city.

Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.
Dreadful attitude from hotel manager; didn't seem to understand the meaning of hospitality. His staff were busy serving and he was involved with potential clients which he broke off from to ring a bell rather than actually give us the key to our room. We were leaving at 07.00 to catch a ferry and breakfast was at 08.00. No we couldn't have anything early until I said I had spoken the day before with the owner who had said sandwiches could be arranged. No drinks facilities in the room - the guests stole all the kettles! Total rot. Could we have coffee in the morning? No. Eventually after an argument, black coffee provided in a thermos. No milk. Room tiny, just big enough for a double bed. Bathroom just about big enough for one person at a time. Google reviews of restaurant were awful so we went out for dinner. Place and website are totally over-hyped. Website says it prides itself on 24/7 service. There wasn't even anyone around to checkout.

Gammelt bygg som er ærverdig og flott men med et rørsystem som gjør at man ikke alltid kan skylle ned i toalettet akkurat når man ønsker. Dårlig lydisolasjon på rommet. Ikke mulig å lukke baderomsdøren helt igjen pga. Skjevhet på bygningsstruktur. God seng, hyggelig personale, sentralt og veldig trivelig hotell med mye sjel. Kommer gjerne tilbake for kortere opphold.

Ein schönes, traditionelles , gepflegtes Hotel ..- sehr gemütlich. Sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist prima, im gemütlichen Restaurant serviert. Ich hätte gerne auch dort zu Abend gegessen, musste leider morgens weg. Parken geht hinter dem Hotel oder in der Nähe!
