"I recently stumbled upon this hotel on our trip across France with my 3 children and we had such a wonderful stay that we will most definitely stay here again on future trips to France. I only wish we could have stayed longer. It has a quiet, calm atmosphere but is super family friendly. I have 3 boys so the pool and the foozball table were huge plusses! "If you’re looking for a typically French themed hotel look no further. However if you’re staying here out of season be prepared for a literal 17:00 opening for check in, no restaurant, limited breakfast and no staff in the hotel at all after room cleaning. "

"We had an excellent 1 night stay at Sowell Le Chevaliers. The staff was very patient during our check in. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Carcassonne. The room was clean and nicely appointed with a walkout spacious terrace. We wish we could have stayed another night. The view we had of the walled city and overlooking the river (with bird activity) was a treat."

"The room was fairly large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom needed a bit of attention as the shower head didn’t really fit the holder and kept flipping downwards. The shower tray didn’t seem to drain very well and the whole unit could do with being updated. Otherwise it was good. The staff were friendly and the breakfast adequate. "

"The hotel was excellent however the restaurant not so good. On our first night of two the manager tried to charge us for four extra drinks and if I hadn’t pointed this out we would have been charged. In the second night we booked into the restaurant and were told that out of an already sparse choice, two were unavailable. This was put down to it being a new menu. We left and ate in town"
