"One night only but was out for most of the evening. Dined in the restaurant where service was prompt up to main course as we arrived after 9pm and ‘the kitchen was closing’. After main course was served, restaurant staff disappeared and the only staff were those using the restaurant as a thoroughfare on their way home off shift (presumably banqueting staff) who didn’t look left or right in case someone asked them something…. "Lovely hotel not far from city center. Room was a nice size with a view of the river Shannon. Very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The staff could not be more helpful, they validated our car park ticket for much cheaper parking right beside the hotel. I will be back again "

"We got upgraded to a premium suite which was great. Had 2 kings & pull out sofa. Room was clean and spacious. Awesome large patio space. However the shower had quite a bit of black mold. Under the sink was mold and a pile of caulk under the bath. Benches by bed had stains and rip. For a 4 star hotel I think these things could have easily be fixed. "

"The place was lovely, lots of beautiful scenery. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Several cafes to get coffee/tea and pastries. Onsite restaurant was good but can get overly busy for dinners especially weekends since the area is limited for eating out at dinner time. "

"I had a wonderful five-night stay at Woodfield Hotel. My room was comfortable and I slept very well. I found the on-site restaurant had great food which was very convenient. This hotel is across the river from Limerick city centre which can easily be accessed by walking or a short drive. I found places to shop within walking distance and there is a lovely nearby area for a walk. Parking is ample and free, a great benefit. Since this is not a chain hotel, the service is personal and staff are empowered to do things to make one’s stay a great experience. But, the best thing about my stay was the employees. All I met were helpful and cheerful. A special thank you is due LeeAnn at the front desk. She helped me get settled, helped me find some things I needed in the local area and was a bright spot every day during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable, home-like experience. I hope to visit again some day. "
