A big downside is the paper-thin walls which meant that we could hear the noise of the neighbouring guests very clearly. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and kind, though I don't know what their English speaking capabilities are since I speak Mandarin. However, the walls of the rooms are paper thin. I could hear every TV show, alarm, and conversation in the room next to me. Being in my room was not relaxing at all. The rooms also have no windows, which was very disappointing. "Good location in the Old City. Large room with cupboard space and huge bathroom. On our side of the hotel it was noisy until early hours of the morning. Loud talkers and drunken party goers. Goes by a different name and was not on Chongren Street so was a little difficult to find. Staff were helpful and friendly."
