"Lovely little hotel with wooden structure. The staff provided excellent hospitality. I was in rush to the train station to catch the hourly train back to Montreux but could only reached the hotel to retrieve my luggage 10 min before the train departure. The staff offered an exceptional drive for me so that I could catch the train. That gave me an excellent first impression of the Swiss!"

"Lovely property and great staff. There is a bus stop near by and they also help shuttle you to the Gstaad train stop. They have a lot of small touches that you don’t find often these days (like in room breakfast option, water and nuts upon arrival. Would stay again for sure! "

"Our room was large and comfortable, we had the usual pedestal fan, not ideal as it was very hot, but it certainly made a difference. We had booked and paid for a lake view room. There was not one available but the courteous staff were very helpful and quickly offered us a one night refund. We appreciated this and enjoyed our stay."

"We stayed in the week of the transition, owners taking over the management after a leasing of the property. So, we experienced some of the service issues that one can naturally expect when a new management is arriving. Nevertheless the staff was excellent and predisposed to overcome all those difficulties. Otherwise the location is good and with an outstanding view of the Alps. Overall a very good stay."

It is unpretentious but offers a lovely restaurant with terrace seating suitable from early morning to late post concert hours. "We loved our stay at Hotel Mona. I highly recommend to book a room with Lakeview, amazing view of lake Geneva. Our room was spacious, it had an included mini bar at no extra charge, chocolates and wine. Breakfast buffet was very good and has plenty of options, including omelette station. There's always coffee, tea, water and juice at the lobby free of charge and in the evening they bring out a Pop corn machine and candy. It also has a Jacuzzi, outdoor seating by the lake. "Perfect location for visiting Chillon Castle. And the hotel itself is full of history, retaining its bel epoque charm. Loved it! Their special 4 course dinner is completely worth it. One warning though... use the bus or taxi to get there. Otherwise you are hoofing it up a super steep hill to reach the hotel."
