Comfortable, clean, well appointed, nice breakfast (With the fire burning ) friendly hosts, enough parking and quick to the N1. "Beware - The lodge is not serving its inclusive breakfast and doesn't compensate for its absence. The housekeeper was charming and efficient but the manager was elusive and hasn't responded to communications. We had just stayed at a guest house a few km to the north where we had a lovely daily breakfasts so unclear why DWWL couldn't provide what we had paid for. A voucher, or some Rand, to use at a local cafe would have been sufficient. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Laborie Estate. The estate is beautiful, wonderful views, great breakfast and a cozy apartment. Everyday fresh water in the fridge, coffee in the room, everyone was very friendly. Only comment I have is that it felt a bit anonymous and communication wasn‘t too great. We arrived late due to a delay in our flight, and we were just left with a message that due to problems with the credit card they were to cancel our room if we don’t show up till 5pm. "I am a repeat visitor to Pontac. A lovely place to spend time at, especially outside on the stoep. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are great, wonderful views of the mountains surrounding Paarl. Definite value for money. The only area for improvement would be breakfast, it is okay, but could use some attention."

"What a sweet place! This was absolutely perfect for our family of four. They allowed us to extend our stay for an extra night and were super accommodating! Our cottage was a cozy little haven for us. The cottage is perfectly located to many great restaurants & wineries! We highly recommend & look forward to coming back again!"

The views are breathtaking, and the room was clean, large, and modern, and it was easy to get to both Stellenbosch and Franschoek as needed.
