"My husband and I spent one amazing night here after hiking Mt Fuji the day before. We didn't know what to expect at our first Onsen but Kusatsu Onsen Buon exceeded our expectations. It is conveniently located by Yubatake Hot Springs and Sainokawara Park. It has a very zen and peaceful atmosphere. We booked a 90 min full body massage at the hotel and the masseuses were spectacular. They addressed every aching body concern after our hike! The breakfast was also plus. "I want to start off by saying I had a nice visit, I did the half board option and the food was plentiful and very tasty. Lots of variety, the sushi was not good and their take on Western food isn't great but the Japanese food is awesome. 2 different Onsen areas that alternate gender daily so you can try both. "The location was a little bit of a walk from the bus terminal and the main part of town but we loved staying in this place. There were indoor and outdoor public and private baths, and it was a great touch to have the ability to make the public baths private between 9 pm and 8 am at no additional cost. We did the half board option for food and it was really great to experience traditional japanese cuisine for breakfast and dinner."
