"We had a wonderful stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly and remembered us when we came back for a second time. We were able to safely store our two bikes in their office which was very important to us. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was great and close to restaurants. Highly recommend!"

"Great location, about a 6 minute walk to Nakamura train station. I loved the free curry rice offered on weekday evenings. Free beverages were also nice. "

"Great host, very helpful. We stayed for 1 night during May. The cabin was very spacious and had some lovely touches, upstairs screen to stream from, free tea and coffee. The cabin is a detached building separate from the main building that has the shared bathroom in. The cabin also has no sink or toilet you have to also go into the main building which is not really clear in the description. Also be aware when booking that access to the property is via a sunken bridge (no sides or barriers) over...

"This hotel offered a great breakfast (choice of Japanese or Western food) which was included in the price but only costs 200 yen if you had to pay for it. Seating for breakfast is on the floor, Japanese style, and this whole hotel is a place where you need to take your shoes off as you enter. I had to take a smoking room but there was nothing smoky about it. Current cleanliness was fine, but the carpets throughout the hotel sure could use replacement. There was a toilet and sink in each room,...

"This is an excellent ryokan owned by a family, with clean and neat japanese style en-suite and onsen. It locates at the top of a small hill overlooking the supreme zekkei of the Shimanto River. The owner and the staffs are very hospitable, we wish to visit again in the future, perhaps in a different season. Thank you very much and we had a wonderful stay."

relaxing and beautiful

"the place has beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean , the hotel have walking trail to the cliff and so scenic. This boutique hotel is located at the end of the island and newly renovated. Good gesture of free flow coffee,drinks and ice cream. Include alcohol on house drinks at 7-9pm. The breakfast was wonderful , Italian spread. we stay 2 nights(Tues &Wed) the Italian restaurant was closed for both days. We are disappointed as this hotel has only 2 dinner options and the Japanese dinner is pretty expensive. "

Also be aware when booking that access to the property is via a sunken bridge (no sides or barriers) over the Shimanto River which we had to drive across after heavy rainfall. "
