"Our goal for our trip to Japan was to hike Mount Fuji, but one of the unexpected highlights was our stay at the Kappo Ryokan Uoichi! Post-hike, we moved from Tokyo to Osaka with a stop at the Ryokan in Shimada. Two families (eight of us) stayed at Kappo Ryokan Uoichi and had a wonderful time. "this hotel is right by the beach, the area looks a little bit shady when coming at night, like a gentrified hipster area, but during the day you can see they have alot of shops and the free access to the onsen is wonderful, apparently on clear days you can see mt. fuji from the outdoor pool. the mini house room we stayed in was super cool and comfortable. and theres an amazing italian restaurant 5 min walking from the hotel called castigliona which is cash only so bring alot with you, but...
