"This was truly a wonderful place. The room was so beautiful and unique , it was In a friendly little town where you can walk to everything. Upon arrival, Maria greeted us and helped us the whole time. Even walked us to a great restaurant . She went above and beyond for two Americans that did not speak Italian. I would highly recommend this place which is family owned. Thank you again Maria and her wonderful father who owns the place. "

"the first thing that stuck us was how out of town this type of accommodation is. That applies to all Masseria hotels. The rooms are situated around a pretty courtyard. The rooms are basic and of reasonable size. There are no facilities for making tea/coffee. However, there is a fridge. A small sitting area is outside each room. There is no bar here and the restaurant does not open till 8 pm. the reception can provide wine or coffee. We bought our own beer and kept in in fridge in room....

"The property is very unique and the staff helpful. However, no one asked us to register, people were very relaxed about paperwork and didn't seem aware of our stay as we hqd to confirm it many yltimes. Staff helped ua load our vehicles and took our keys but nevwe asked to settle the bill. About an hoir later while we were well on our way, they called to ask us to pay. "It was a FABULOUS place to stay!! The rooms were very clean and modern, and comfortable. Breakfast was good in the morning, and the location is very good. Breakfast is great, and we easily arranged for transportation for our three couples each of our two evenings for dinner near Monopoli. The owner, Vito, is a warm, charming man, and very thoughtful. "We found La Maison extremely convenient midway between Bari airport and our cruise port in Taranto. It is a family establishment, very clean and safe.
