"Unfortunately our stay was cut short by bushfire but the day and a half we spent there was nice. It is a great location to explore flinders Chase National park which is magnificent and nearby Hanson Beach is stunning. The retreat even has some small nature walks around the property that we saw some great birdlife on (they have their own bird blind so bring your camera). "We spent two nights at A Dune Escape on Kangaroo Island. It was a lovely, welcoming, home and we were very comfortable there. The house is extremely well equipped (the best equipped kitchen in any holiday rental we have every stayed in), extremely clean, quiet and warm. The location is amazing - loads of birds and animals in the grounds and an amazing beach over the dune at the back. Would highly recommend it as a base for exploring Kangaroo Island - we wish we had allowed more time there."

"This property is perfect if you want to be away from everything. Its secluded and relaxing - with great views and plenty of wildlife about. Its completely off grid with solar electricity and water from tanks. The room has everything you need for a short or even and extended stay. Plenty of cooking equipment, a full sized fridge with freezer and tea and coffe with a kettle and microwave. We really enjoyed our 5 days here."
