"Spring for the ocean view pool rooms. They are beautiful. This resort is simply stunning. Its set on a hill which provides panoramic views. You get around the resort by cars provided by the hotel. There are two lovely restaurant/bars. They are expensive to drink and eat at in Thailand but about right for a city center drink and food back home. We has the floating asian lunch brought to our room and that was well worth it. The hotel is away from everything but for 50THB the hotel will transfer your to Bangha Road in Patong, where you can see the madness or walk 15 mimutes to the night markets. We were charged 200THB to get back [after haggling down from 400] There are mosquitos at this hotel so please keep your doors closed. But would definitely recommend this hotel."

"I recently had the pleasure of staying Andara Resort, and overall, I would say it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, with lush surroundings that made it feel like a true getaway. The cleanliness of the resort was impressive; every corner was well-maintained, which added to the overall sense of comfort. One of the standout features of our stay was the spaciousness of our room. It was large and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The amenities were top-notch, making it easy to unwind. The staff at the resort were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, and their warm service truly enhanced our stay. Whether it was at the front desk or during meals, everyone was genuinely nice and eager to assist. However, we did visit during the rainy season, which limited our ability to enjoy the outdoor activities, particularly swimming. We were only able to take a dip twice during our stay, thanks to the pouring rain. While this was disappointing, we made the most of our time indoors, enjoying the spa."

"Beautiful small resort built in Thai style with amazing views. Good facilities, although a 5 minute ride to the nearest town (shuttle provided). The Thai Grand Pool Villa was incredible - spacious, private with a good sized private infinity pool overlooking the Andaman Sea. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good spa facilities. "

"The Novotel Kamala has a great beach (Beach #1). Easy to walk to restaurants. Twins restaurant on the beach has an awesome seafood glass noodle salad. Cafe Del Mar has changed. They fenced off the whole operation so no beach access. Only via the front street entry where you’re subject to search and wristbands. No thanks. Instead had dinner one night at Shimmer. It’s part of montezure hotel. Awesome sunset view with dinner. Expensive for Thailand. 4,400 baht for two. Unfortunately, when got back to room, got sick and pucked dinner. 3 weeks in Thailand, never had problems with delicious Thai food. The blue crab yellow curry ended up in the toilet and on the floor.
