Uber drivers are cheap, but hit-and-miss: sometimes available and sometimes not available. Hotel says they have transport, but it is a inconvenient/costly to come-and-go without walking. There is no beach at hotel. Suggest hotel map the area for guests who may want to leave hotel property, and make transport very easy (i.e. include transport for small fee at a set...

"If you are looking for technology entertainment it is not that friendly because TV only had one channel however there is wifi but there are plenty of water activities to do. But everything was spectacular. I would definitely book again. "

"This is a great resort property. It is secluded, secure, peaceful and the perfect place to enjoy some relaxation. Breakfast buffet is very simple and not much choices. This resort is open to public for people to come in on day passes, some days it felt it did take away a bit from the peacefulness as it tended to be big groups and families. For the price the room is very basic, though the rest of it makes up a bit more as you have easy access to the beach. Being my first time in El Salvador now that I know, I would probably just stay somewhere else and save money and simply pay for a day pass for this resort which is around $12."

Excellent spot for a weekend getaway.

"I was in Guatemala for a few weeks to study Spanish, but I have Salvadoran friends, so I traveled to Santa Ana for a weekend so that I could visit them. Kali Hotel was a great spot. My shuttle arrived late on Friday, so the nearby shops and restaurants were closed, but the kitchen was still open and I was able to order an excellent dinner. My room was spacious and clean and had everything I needed. In Guatemala I was living with a host family, so let me tell you, the bed and the shower in my room at the Kali Hotel were sheer delights. Hot water with solid pressure? A super comfortable mattress on a solid bed frame? Yes, please! The concierge was super responsive and helpful. The included breakfast was delicious. The hotel is walking distance from popular sites and big markets. And, when I had to leave at an ungodly hour (3:30 A.M.) to catch my shuttle back to Guatemala, the security guard stood at the gate and chatted with me until the shuttle arrived so that I wouldn’t be out in the dark alone. 10/10 would recommend and I hope to come back some day. "

Just What I Needed

"The Garten Hotel was just what I needed. My room was nice and spacious, clean. This hotel is right on a beautiful black sand beach(not rocky either). I loved the al fresco dining. The staff was amazing. I wanted to workout in their gym, and one of the receptionists walked me over to the gym, since it was located on the sister property(the villas) to show me exactly where it was. Food and drinks were good . It was quiet and relaxing, which I loved. I will definitely stay here again."
