"Our first child free night away in 5 years to celebrate a 40th birthday. We had stayed in an ibis in Sheffield before and didn’t have many strong feelings about it. It was good as a base, but nothing special. This one in Portsmouth was so lovely. From the fish tank in the lobby, & the very well priced drinks, it was perfect for us. The breakfast was very enjoyable, and the free pastry was such appreciated. We will very much be returning."

"I loved the history of the hotel, room was large and comfortable. A little attention needs to be made to finish ie curtains had fallen off track, so difficult to close properly, USB charging point would be useful. Breakfast was perfect and set us up for the day"

"Great place to stay. Easy access to bus services all around the island. It was very cold whilst we were here and the unit had a great heating system throughout. Beds were comfortable and 3 of us each had a bedroom. We got a deal that was amazing value for money. Fully recommend."
