"Birds farm is a lovely place to stay for the local Essex or Sussex area. Very quiet in the evenings, despite being just off a busy road. "This place is outstanding. It’s a lovely location in a quiet village a few minutes walk away to the shop and pub and within minutes your in the countryside exploring the WWII history on offer. It’s very quiet and safe and free parking right outside the door. The cottage is very nice and is a mixture of modern bits mixed with old but has a very well stocked kitchen, a large comfy living area, a down stairs bathroom and toilet and two upstairs bedrooms. I will definitely be back."

"My tiny room was sufficient and quiet,of human noise anyway.The restfulness of my stay was however ruined by some sort of generator or extractor that hummed like an aeroplane on and off night and day outside. Duvet only just warm enough and I am not a fussy person. Place a bit soulless and staff therefore a bit disengaged. It’s an interesting formula for low cost accommodation but needs tweaking back a bit from being quite so basic and functional."
