The Gatehouse is amazing and the rooms 5 star. The receptionist was amazing pick us up and drop us off after lovely meal and drinks. Restaurant The restaurant staff were lovely and it was an extremely busy night for them. Starter was selection of cooked meats and wafers on wood board. Had steak with chunky fries and the sauce was amazing. Overall the food was star of the show. The lounge was quiet and classy the bar manager was a class act and great professional presence.

Fantastic Hotel

Great food, great service, great stay

We had a great stay in a superior room. It was my wife, daughter (7) and I. There was plenty room for the three of us and the service was great. The grounds were lovely and we were spoiled with sun. The food was amazing! After dining on our first night the quality of food made the decision for the other nights Service was great including late night dessert room service, and very understanding staff that still served us when we came to breakfast late one morning.

Staff excellent special thanks to reception who sorted out an access problem. Breakfast extremely good. Room very clean but bedside table tatty which was a shame. Would have benefitted from a coffee table and larger tv.

Lovely quiet apartment.

This is our second stay at the Gatehouse apartment and we love it just as much as the first time. Set a short distance from the main hotel, it is really quiet, with great view of the garden and wooded area. The whole of the ground floor is ours and even with guests above us, it is sound proofed, so no noise. Lovely and clean and a really good size kitchen and dining area. We will be back.

Great hotel...but not perfect.

We don’t normally stay in 4* hotels but it was a special occasion. We were put in the gatehouse and on arrival the room was cold and the tv wouldn't connect to the remote sky box. A very nice person who i think was the 'house manager' came straight over and sorted things out, but why doesno one check if things are working before guests arrive? Lovely room and quiet location made it worthwhile. Breakfast was good but we were at the tail end of service and had to ask for more hot food to be cooked.

Very nice hotel, tucked away in a quiet location surrounded by lawns and trees. We were in a room behind the main building which was very comfortable, well equipped and air conditioned. The staff were all very helpful and we will definitely stay again.
