Ipioca Beach (Praia de Ipioca) is one of the undiscovered gems of Alagoas state and the perfect destination to let the weight of the world drift from your shoulders. The beach has little tourist development, which means that you can sit and enjoy the natural surroundings even more. Find Ipioca Beach 16 miles (25 kilometers) north of Maceió. The easiest way to get here is to take a taxi. Street vendors sell candy, fresh fruits and nuts on the road from Maceió. To the north is Paripueira, another coastal town with a wide range of tourist amenities.
