"Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. "

"After a long drive to get there it was lovely to dump the cases and get into the hot tub. The accommodation was better than expected and we both enjoyed our stay there. We were told that the drive was a wee bit tight but other than that, no issues"

"Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips."

"The property is brilliant the castle is amazing. The owners are very friendy and encourage you to walk to grounds which is beautiful. Was very happy with our stay. The location is ideal 20 min drive to Edinburgh 30 min drive to coldstream/kelso to explore the boarders."

"The great: The breakfast was outstanding. Excellent help from the attendant, and the food was delicious, abundant and attractive. Beyond that, it's in a great location, is very clean and is reasonably priced. On the downside, there were some problems with the room--the main closet door was broken, and a request to repair didn't get a response. The towel warmer cut out after the first day (not a terrible problem, but it would have been nice if it worked!). Overall, though, I was really happy...

"We loved the staff at Wilde so friendly and outgoing. We were less enamored with our rooms. Some things in both rooms we had didn’t function properly (blinds, lights, etc). Room was either freezing ir we had the heat off or felt like a furnace or we had it on. We also found that the “apartment” part of the room was not well utilized by us. We could have gotten by with just a kettle to get more room around the bed area. All in all, we wouldn’t stay again. Though we do thank the staff for their...
