"I stayed 1 night at the Sarikampos Beach resort. The GPS took me directly there, and there’s a large parking lot just across, along the beach. The hotel and the surroundings are very quiet and safe. There’s a nice sitting area by the reception and a library. Nina cooked a delightful breakfast . I highly recommend this very sweet hotel. "

"Hotel Esperides is a lovely quiet hotel on the main road just across from the road into Myrtos, a quiet tourist town on the southern coast of Crete. Wonderful breakfast for 9 euros per person, with large assortment of foods. Small elevator available. Very accommodating when we arrived early from the ferry to Heraklion, Crete; we were able to purchase breakfast even before check in, and they got 2 rooms ready for us an hour or so before their usual check in time. "Lovely, clean rooms and excellent personal service from the owners. Great location, peaceful and quiet and ideally placed to explore the beauties of Eastern Crete. Lots of good Tavernas and restaurants and usually good value. The locals very friendly and amenable. Big recommend"
