"A very modern, perfectly equipped property, amazing swimming pool, wonderful little beach with cristal clear water down the stairs of the property, garden and pool area in the same perfect condition as the apartment. Perfect location also for trips and hikes in the area. Our only regret was that we had to leave after 5 nights. Highly recommendable!"

"Property seems very kid friendly, which is nice, but as we did not bring our children this trip, it was loud and overwhelming with kids running all over. Often difficult to get spots at the pool as well. We almost decided to go next door to the Nana Princess instead. Food was pretty good. Facilities have plumbing issues given the smells in the bathroom. Was not pleasant. Good value but not luxury. Live and learn"

"A beautiful hotel in the heart of Koutouloufari. Rooms are spacious with everything you could possiby need during your holiday, plus a bottle of wine to welcome you. The pool area isn’t huge but very pretty and never so busy you can’t find a seat or sunbed. So many brilliant places to eat and drink on the area. Perfect holiday destination."

"Beautiful property. Staff could not have been or lovely. Great restaurant and bar. It was a short van ride to a small beach club. Area is quiet, but there was dancing at some dinners. There’s an on site spa. My partner and I loved this place!"

"Fantastic place to stay. Great location. The staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the 'Superior House' which is actually an apartment. It had everything you need, microwave, fridgefreezer, hot plate, kettle, iron, ironing board etc. The beds were large and comfy and first class air con. Thoroughly recommended!"

"The hotel itself is lovely, very modern, impeccably clean. W loved the little private beach as the sea was a perfect temperature! The only negative is every day between 12-3pm a DJ plays banging “Ibiza tunes” and you cant get away from it. It is such a strange vibe as most people there when we were there were of an older generation and every time he started up there were groans from everyone around us!! You couldn’t escape the sound- we could hear it on the beach! We were half board and food...

"Good location on beach, coffee, tea & kettle in room but amazingly no creamer? When asked, receptionist said they don't provide creamer...so why bother with tea & coffe then? Buffet plentiful, food okay for mass tourism. We were all inclusive but ate all but 2 of our meals elsewhere. Pool & beach always busy, lots of kids. Animation team were good and water sports were highlight of our 1 week stay. Recommended if you like all-inclusive, have a big family and aren't interested in experiencing the...

Koutsounari truly is a small slice of paradise on the already beautuful island of Crete, and Ioanna the property manager has created a unique and authentic Greek experience with the cottages. From the architecture to the interior decor, every detail is well thought out to create a traditional feel while still providing all the modern amenities we are accostomed to (wifi, climate control, etc.). The area itself is peaceful and quiet, and the beach, grocery store and dining options are all within walking distance. If your travels take you to this part of Crete, do yourself a favor and look into staying here, I know you won't be disappointed..."

Wonderful stay

"We absolutely loved the New Aurora Apartments. The rooms were super spacious, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything we could need. The parking was easy as well. We were close to numerous cafes, shops and restaurants so didn’t have to go far for food etc. It was also a short walk to a lovely secluded beach. It is a definitely somewhere we would come back to in a heartbeat. "

Needs improvement

"As we checked in we were given a room with non functional AC and stains on the sheets. Smelled like old. At the second day we were changed in a better room with much better AC and better cleansed. Rooms are generally very small and bathrooms are unusual tight. Food was excellent and more than enough. "
