Hotel de Ville - Bron Tram Stop Hotels from S$87

"A fabulous small boutique hotel in a great central location for visiting major sights in Lyon. Hotel was clean , welcoming and tasteful . It is an " on demand " hotel as the staff put it so if you want water or kettle you have to request them and go and get them from reception. No frills or extras in the room , no slippers , dressing gown or fridge nor did we have a mirror in the room only one head and shoulders standard mirror in the bathroom which was a minor irritation. Room was large, with comfortable beds . We had 2 singles as I was travelling with my daughter. We had a great view of the river and full length windows that opened fully which was a bonus, made the room light and airy . I can't comment on breakfast as we didn't have it, plenty of boulangerie within 2 minutes walk. If you want authentic restaurants keep away from The old town as it is very touristy and not representative of the fabulous restaurants available in Lyon All in all a great hotel for a short break . Request a river view it's definitely worth the extra cost . I will most certainly stay here again on my next visit as I have a daughter in Lyon for a year."

"We had just finished a river cruise and needed a hotel for 2 nights before flying home. We arrived around noon and were able to check in early. The location makes for easy walk to get around the old city of Lyon. So much to see and do in the area. Our double classic room (queen bed) was perfect for our needs. Hallways could use some updating. The 8th floor bar has spectular city/river night time views but is “tres” pricey. "

"The area around the property is under construction, which makes it very difficult to find access to the hotel."

"Room were attend & clean very nice. Front desk Jamila and colleagues very nice to me. Restaurant breakfast buffet was excellent and sure lunch and dinner just the same, staff very friendly. Must stay again next time, it’s almost very close 30mins walk to most tours. Keep up the excellent job. Rogelio"

"Beautiful property in a quiet but convenient area. Lovely spacious rooms, which were impeccable. Real bonus to have the heated swimming pool in November. Staff were very gracious and accommodating. A few improvements to suggest: maybe some hotel and area information in the rooms would be good; the ‘international TV channels’ advertised aren’t accessible (not an issue for us, but some people may be expecting these); reorganisation of the breakfast area - it’s a stunning setting but quite chaotic due to lack of space between tables and food self service areas. Overall, a beautiful, well maintained hotel, good value and worth the effort of the funicular to Fourvière. We would definitely return here. "

"Spacious room, nice little Juliette balcony, good spa in the basement. Sunday buffet brunch was a ripoff - €39 with the limits of one entree and one hot beverage, no mimosas and only 5 choices for an entree, one of which was a fried egg and bacon. But most everything is closed on Sunday, am for sure, so there aren't a lot of other options."
