Experience Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July all summer long at Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari. This exciting theme park features a wide array of rides, games, waterslides and live entertainment. Check out Holiday World’s four themed sections and celebrate the holidays with wild rides and family-friendly fun.
The first stop at Holiday World is the Christmas section. Little kids will love exploring the collection of rides at Rudolph’s Reindeer Ranch, meeting Santa Claus and checking out the Christmas Tree. Make your way to the Halloween section to ride two of the park’s three wooden roller coasters. The Raven and the Legend are spooky rides that loop around the Halloween-themed area. Take the plunge on the log-flume ride, known as Frightful Falls.
Red, white and blue decorations fill the Fourth of July section. Bring a meal to enjoy with the family at the Good Old Days Picnic Grove or dine at the park’s Mexican restaurant. Watch a live show at the Hoosier Celebration Theater or meet the area’s mascot, George the Eagle. Bigger kids can ride the exciting river rapids or fly into the sky on the Liberty Launch ride. Take smaller children to explore the multi-level playgrounds at Holidog’s FunTown.
Ride the park’s wooden roller coaster based on the Pilgrim’s 17th-century voyage in the Thanksgiving area. This section also has a swinging-ship ride, a turkey tilt-a-whirl and a vertical swing ride.
Splashin’ Safari is a water park suitable for visitors of all ages. Splash and play at Hyena Springs, the park’s spray-pad playground, or be thrilled on the park’s water coasters, called Wildebeest and Mammoth. Lazy-river rides, river-rapids rides and inline tube slides are sure to keep everyone in the family entertained.
Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari are located in the town of Santa Claus, about a 3-hour drive south of Indianapolis. The parks are open to visitors between April and October. Admission covers entry to both parks. Discounted admission is available for younger children and seniors. Set aside a full day to explore both parks.
