"Good: The beach. The pool. The variety of dining options. The hotel though in several areas like the rooms, lifts etc could be cleaner / better maintained. The AC struggled to lower the room temp below 24C. The light in the cupboard where the safe is located would not switch off. Flushing the toilet resulted in it running for over 5 minutes. The grout on the shower enclosures could do with the occasional clean with bleach…. Not what I expected of a hotel with such high daily charges."

"We wanted a relaxing and peaceful holiday with a pool and view and good service. This hotel didn’t disappoint us. There are only six rooms so the service was personal and exceptional. The hotel is located at the quieter end of the Hikkadawa stretch of beach which suited us. The livelier bars and hotels were only a short walk away too. "A gorgeous spot a little back from the beach (about 1km) but walkable, and easy to get tuktuks. No frills rooms that were delightful. Super friendly hosts who are very familiar with the area and can offer advice and recommendations if needed. The most fabulous breakfast selection each morning, always with variation. "Haritha villa and spa is an extraordinary hotel. I spent 3 nights there with my wife and two children aged 13 and 11. It is set in beautiful green surroundings just 5-10 minutes from the coast. There are only 9 quite secluded villas. We stayed in the second largest one with private pool. We had half board. The food was absolutely amazing! A la carte menu with great choice and fresh sea food. There is a spa on site which look fantastic. We used the small gym there. The staff are very friendly....

The beach is still very close and accessible but it's nice to go back to a more secluded environment at the end of the day.
