"From check-in on the first day to check-out on the last we had nothing but a good experience at this hotel. The staff was always friendly and easily available to help us. The room was spacious and clean for a family of 4. The TV was quite small, but it was enough and not the reason for choosing this hotel anyway. "Overall really nice place. My experience was unfortunately poor with the service as Typhoon Shanshan had hit during my stay. I understand that because of that service would be minimal but some communication from the team over the expedia app would have helped give me a heads up that there would be essentially 0 service. Especially since it’s on a mountain it would be good to have some communication in case where we were staying was in danger of landslides or other typhoon related issues....

"Me and my family had a wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel. The room even exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and well-maintained and hotel staff was extremely welcoming, kind and polite and we felt like honored guests the whole time. We could even see the Kamado Jigoku from our bedroom window and from our garden, we also had a great view of the city and was greeted with an extremely beautiful sunrise each morning! The cuisine dinners we had at the restaurants were also fantastic and one of the best we had in Japan! We cannot praise this hotel enough and highly recommend it to anyone who is seeking to visit Beppu and its neighboring towns and cities."

"Had a lovely one-night staybat the resort. Enjoyed our private onsen and the many amenities the room offered (including no less than 4 different types of slippers :) for various uses. Breakfast selection was really good, with both a Japanese and Western spread. Would have loved to stay another night and discover Beppu a bit more."
