"Wow. Wasn’t expecting this excellent level of service — better than most places we have ever stayed. VIP room wasn’t huge but bed and view and bathroom (fab soaker tub) were top notch. And believe everything you read in reviews about the breakfast buffet. OMG — literally 50 choices Rooftop restaurant and poolside bar were great. And SOOO close to wonderful sights in Heraklion, like the archaeology museum and the ancient technology museum and the Venetian fort. The staff are wonderful too...

"The best features was the quality of the food—which was decent/good—and the roof pool (although too small). The staff and service was poor. Water during dinner was not included in our half-board plan. The hotel was quite reluctant to put some (of our paid) breakfast in a box for us to take to the airport (they gave us something, but not enough for one person). The general impression was just a typical characterless three-star hotel (officially five). "

"The only good things about the resort are the staff who tirelessly keep it running smoothly, and are super friendly; and the location which has nice views. There's a small public beach nearby as well. Everything else was average at best. The food gave my partner food poisoning on our last night there. Our room had a very inconvenient layout. "Staff were all so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious with so much choice. The hotel was very clean & the rooms were a little small, but had everything and were also very clean.The pool area was small, but lovely and suited us perfectly. The hotel is located about a 10-15min walk from the city centre and the sites were all accessible by walking, taxi or bus which was perfect for us. We will definitely be back."
