pet-friendly room - better than carpeting. For one of the least expensive hotels in Gunnison, it was excellent. Comfortable beds, clean and plenty of linens, and upon my request, they provided cotton sheets rather than the microfiber bedding I dislike. Excellent customer service. Breakfast was great! The staff member who worked the breakfast on 6/26/2025 kept the breakfast area spotless, cleaner than the rest of the hotel. She was also friendly and attentive to breakfast buffet. The best part of the stay for us was breakfast. "

"We stayed in the castle suite which is in a separate house up the mountain. A beautiful home has been turned into several suites.In the common areas there are two dens, a full kitchen, a wet bar area, gym, and sauna. Numerous rooms have private hot tubs. We enjoyed beautiful views from every window in the Castle Suite. The room was huge and the bathroom was too. The only issues were the stairs up and down to the front door from the road. As long as you don't have mobility issues, there stairs are worth it! We would definitely stay here again. "
