"My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights to do some hiking in the Catskills area. The hotel was very clean and spacious. The receptionist was very welcoming. It was by the river in a residential area with a couple of restaurants and stores along the street, so the area was quiet. Some of the buildings along the street were not occupied."

"Clean, quiet and restful. Misty (I hope this is your name!) manages the property and greeted me and my mom when we arrived. She was highly attentive and friendly and bakes amazing brownies. "Beautiful space, but not user friendly. We were not aware of steep stairs to second floor. Dragging luggage up and down was a challenge. The bath/shower situation is treacherous. Placed in middle of room with no walls nearby or anything to grab onto makes it an unsafe situation. Onsite parking was indicated, but only street was available. "

"This was a very beautiful property with a waterfall on the property and more waterfalls nearby. The room was really clean, with new carpet and wallpaper. Has a German theme, which is kind of cool. The German food at the Brauhaus Was good. The entertainment was fun and the owner Wendy was very hospitable. We are definitely going back next year to see the colorful leaves again. My wife loved it!"

"If you have to stay in a motel, this is the one to stay in. A kind family runs it, and it’s as clean as can be. The only reason I scored my overall rating at a 4 instead of a 5 is that starting at 12 am there were gun shots that sounded super close by."

"I enjoyed my stay at the St. Charles, located next to a park right in town. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and attractive. The room amenities were just fine as well. Parking is right by the hotel. The man at the reception desk was always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast outlay could use more attention because on one morning in particular there seemed to be no one around to replenish it. Otherwise, the selection was adequate (oh, yes, how 'bout some bagels and orange juice in addition to the apple juice offered....). There are some very good restaurants and cafes in town and it's a pleasant walk down the long Main Street to the waterfront park for a nice view of the Hudson and the Catskills beyond. Hudson is a well preserved Victorian town. Would I stay here again - absolutely!"
