"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Oviya in Vavuniya! The town view from the hotel was really nice, and it made for a pleasant and convenience throughout our visit. The receptionist team was very helpful, arranging a room for us and also taking care of our van driver’s needs. They were quick to assist with our breakfast requests, ensuring everything went smoothly. Not a nice hotel

"The property is a newly built house, great design, very ill maintained. Smelly blankets, no bedsheet between the blanket and your body. Uncleaned rags in front of the bathroom. No tea-coffee and hot water kettle in the room, no water bottle in the room. I paid $43 for my stay, seems there are better options nearby at half the price."

"Everything is good, but there were two minor issues I would point out. 1.) Shower door didn't close completely. 2.) They only give one room key, which you need to plug in for lights to operate. So, there is a chance you can walk out and get locked out the door. When I pointed that out, they gave me a sperate card to plug in for the lights and so my door keys were always in my pocket. One thing I should mention more than anything, staff were super friendly and very helpful!"

Irresponsible on Hotel.com part

"This is not about the lodge but about hotel.com. I have already told them I was viewing hotels not to book however they charged my CC which I have already deleted from website I did not stay at lodge, the booking was a mistake but the lodge or hotel.com refused to remedy this situation "

Gateway to Wilpattu

"Stayed here on both ends of a Wilpattu National Park adventure. They hooked me up with an amazing guide and driver as well as transport back and forth to the park and also onward to Kandy. The pool was awesome and there were many birds behind the property. The manager was a very kind man and the staff was great. Room service was delicious as well."
