"Lovely staff , great location , rooms clean and spacious but could do with new beds not the most comfortable "

"It was an intriguing building. Rooms well furnished and heated. The staff were very helpful and friendly. BUT not a suitable place for elderly or those with mobility problems. An outside flight of stairs, which could be slippery in wet weather, led to first floor and then more internal steep stairs our room. There were no grab rails in the shower. Food was well prepared especially the breakfast but menu in evening was limited and in spite of signs there was no real ale. A further problem which...

"I had to change my hotel reservation last minute and my room was all ready sparkling clean for me by the time I made it from Gloucester City Centre. It's only 10-15 minutes away by a bus but I would advise non-drivers to be prepared for either taking the bus or taxi as it's by a busy road but otherwise village is quiet, not many shops and eating places."
