"Second time we have stayed at The Plume travelling to/from Cornwall. It is a lovely, comfortable & homely hotel. However, the absolute bonus is their restaurant, the food (small plates/tapas) is excellent, as are the cocktails and wine list. It’s a shame it is not near our home as we would be very regular visitors!"

"We had a lovely welcome from Rupert who was an excellent host. Our room was spacious with everything we required - even fresh milk. Breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal and a choice of cooked breakfasts which were cooked to perfection. My gluten free diet was catered for very well. Can highly recommend."

Despite the fact that Steve had only just got out of hospital after a hip operation and clearly in pain, he did everything possible to make me welcome and comfortable. "Very shabby inside, dirty furniture,unhygienic kitchen and no hot water in shower or bath.The shower also leaked from the wall fitting and gushed down the tiles.The carpets were dirty giving accomodation unpleasant smell. We decided to leave early but hosts didn't bother to ask if everything was ok. Would definitely not return!!!!"
