"Garden Court Suites were well appointed and luxurious with lots of space and comfortable beds. We were initially put in a suite very close to the state highway from which there was a lot of noise but the lady at reception was very helpful and moved us to another suite as soon as one became available. The customer service was excellent."

"Generally very good quality. Some members comment if a toilet at downstairs would be best. One worker forgot to close the door one day. Alerted the management and seems it will be well taken care of. Still walkable distance from downtown. Very quiet environment. Excellent property conditions and utensils."

"It was a nice place to stay. It could have been better if they topped up a few things like other hotels/motels when they came for room service and tidy the things better. First place I found they didn't top up/tidy except towels in the room. But place is good and reaaonable to stay. It will be nice if they have better fans for room. Opening windows may give better air but outside noise can disturb your sleep."

"Great spot , easy walk to town, plenty to choose from food wise. A little construction going on atm , so first morning was noisy. Manager kindly moved us to a courtyard room, very cosy. Would return no problem "

"Our 2 bedroom apartment was large, clean and well equipped. Unfortunately our room only had views of the adjoining property. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants and bars within a 15 minute walk. Just remember it is uphill to get back to the apartment (or a $10 Uber)."

"Stayed in a cabin which overall was good. For those who care, TV and remote did not work very well. The sink in the bathroom was way too small. Having said that I would definitely stay there again. "

"The Sherwood Hotel in Queenstown is gorgeous, but it might not have been the best fit for us. We were expecting more of a resort vibe with extra amenities and a bit more attention to detail. The hotel focuses on conservation and minimalism, which is great, but it meant we had to request extra towels and supplies. The breakfast was outstanding, with high-quality food and presentation. It's a bit out of the way from the main city, so we had to rely on Uber rides. The hotel was quiet and had great lake views, but the walls were a bit thin, and the bathrooms were outdated. Overall, it’s a unique, eco-friendly place that reminded me of a more "crunchy granola" version of the Ace Hotel."

Buses very cheap and regular and fairly frequent up to 18 hours a day but if no car you will rely on them to get to all attractions and Queenstown itself. Initially it appears a bit out on its own (quite a lot of empty land development around it) but more optics than reality as not far to walk to local cafes and shops. In that respect it will not be to everyone’s style due to location but overall suited me very well. "
