"This was our first stay at The Foothills Hotel and we loved it! We needed to get over the Pass before the snow hit and the price, location and condition were all perfect for our needs. We actually booked the motel again three nights later when we couldn't get over the Pass to return to Reno! Room has been upgraded in a mid Century deco style with red frigidaire and microwave oven, bright lighting, quiet heat, comfortable bed and pillows. We highly recommend this motel especially after previously staying in other tired, dimly lit motels in Auburn!"

"Small hotel but rooms were recently remodeled and very clean. Kind of high for such a small and basic but I would stay there again if I needed to. Since we didn’t drive all the way up to S Lake Tahoe."

"The property was clean the room was big and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and they even had several gluten free options! The only negative was the hot tub didn't get very hot and the jets didn't work well but i appreciated that we were still able to use it even in the rain. "
