"We had a fantastic two nights at The Sun House, located up the hill from the buzz of Galle. You can easily get a tuk tuk to the forts/cricket ground. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The food was fantastic and we booked an experience with the chef to cook some Sri Lankan food. What a feast we made. The pool was a welcome rest at the end of the day. "The staff and the property were absolutely amazing! The facilities are gorgeous and everyone was very helpful. It’s only a 2-3 minute walk to the lighthouse and its steps away from the Fort. The breakfast included delicious fresh fruits a local Sri Lankan dishes. They also helped book us a tuk tuk to get to Weligama Bay. 10/10 would definitely stay again. "

"Excellent/wonderful. Beautiful facility/setting and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was the best I had in all of Sri Lanka. The dinner choices were wide ranging an excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. About a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort. Highly recommend. "

"Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

"The hotel has character but it is very basic. Breakfast is not available. There is no restaurant. The wifi mostly did not work. There was a complex device for showers that did not work properly and flooded the bathroom. The towels had seen better days. There was no TV. The room was not serviced in the three days I stayed in Galle. "Very friendly staff and helpful manager. Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. Room (deluxe) very large and provided extra bed for kids. Short 10 min walk to galle fort. "The Postcard is an excellent hotel for a relaxing holiday. It is literally on a lagoon with the water touching the property. The foliage has been maintained very well to give the property a serene and thick green cover, which adds to the calm. The best part of the property of course are the people. "The rooms are lovely in this little boutique hotel, it is located at the top of Gaul fort and easy to park and find. The staff are very good and helpful. They make good coffee. We didn’t eat here other than a dessert but the quality was good. The restaurant is small though and there are no other facilities but for a comfortable room you can’t go wrong "
