"The Fairmont Quasar Istanbul was a great hotel to stay at while I vacationed in Istanbul. The hotel is located off of a busy freeway. If you happen to have a room that faces north like we did, you will hear sirens from emergency vehicles quite often, however Istanbul is a very large busy city, and most hotels that you stay at would be similar. If you can manage, try to get a room facing the south for a fantastic view of the Bosphorus river, and a quieter room experience. "

"Located conveniently near a metro station and a walkable area. It is located around the corner of the busy area so the hotel stays relatively quiet. Staff is very professional and helpful with your stay in the hotel and what you may want to do in the city. Plenty of food options nearby, however, this is the touristy area so do not expect these to be the best restaurants. The better restaurants are scattered throughout Istanbul that the staff can tell you about. The most famous sites, like the Hagia Sophia and everything close to it, takes about 20-25 minutes by walking and train to get to. The international airport is relatively far away and takes about an hour and half by metro or maybe 45 minutes by taxi (I didn't take any taxies during my stay, just metro). I recommend this location if you like quiet at night, but convenient access to things to do."
