"I think the whole problem was perhaps due to a wrong expectation. The online rating and the limited photos gave me an impression this is really a good place. The location is indeed super, and the breakfast is excellent. However, the single room is extremely disappointing and even awkward. It is almost the smallest room that I have ever stayed in. The bathroom is far too narrow. There is no chair, only a stool. No table. Only a small cabin which has a small fridge inside. The window is not tight...

"We had a lovely visit. Beautiful town, with location being walking distance to just about everything. The hotel had a stunning garden in the back, and easy parking onsite. The hosts were fantastic with everything we needed and more. Definitely recommend if you are anywhere near Valkenburg."

"We really enjoyed our stay here, driving up felt like entering the set of Downton Abby!! We stayed in one of the side apartments - it was so beautiful and we loved the walking path near by. The down side is that we didn't get sheets or towels provided, (also no hand soap!) By the time we noticed, the staff had already left for the evening. Dislikes included some lights not working in the room, person checking me out was clueless, absolutely no Wi-Fi signal in the room but was available in the hallway, different pieces of wall trim both in the hallway and room were hanging loose and shower barely worked. One of the worse hotels I have ever stayed at."

"The location of this hotel is good, and it was clean, staff very nice, but it's a pretty run down old hotel, and our room was really small and terribly hot, even with the window open, and the fan running 24 hours, it was still really hot. "The Mimosa was a wonderful place to stay during the Christmas holidays with my partner. The room was clean, well maintained and perfectly suited for our needs.
