Head north to Brava Beach, one of the best and most challenging surfing spots in the area, or visit the popular beachside neighbourhood of Ingleses do Rio Vermelho. Here the beach has a milder surf and is lined with resorts, bars and nightclubs and is a hub for the city’s nightlife.
With a subtropical climate, Florianópolis enjoys four distinct seasons and remains far less humid than others parts of the country.
