"Nice greeting on arrival and being shown to our room. Excellent location and feel of the place. Lovely facilities, although we didn't take advantage of the spa. Staff in the cocktail bar could be more attentive. Having to wait in a very empty lounge area for well over 10 mins, then having to go and ask to have drinks is poor. Food however was of a good standard."

"Came early jan and was thick frost around. Didn’t fancy using the pool but I will definitely come again and hopefully use it. Staff were helpful and had two nice meals in the restaurant. They had a singer on on the Friday which I thought was good. Overall it was a pleasant stay and we will definitely come again. "

"Really enjoy staying at Holiday Inn across the world. They are simply comfortable and always have a good atmosphere. I come out feeling content and happy! There were a few issues with the room I was in. The aircon didn’t work. There was a bathroom hook missing to hang the towel. But that was really it and didn’t make any difference to the quality of service provided and the great breakfast they had! Thank you. "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Ambleside. We were given a spa room upgrade after the first room we had. The staff are outstanding here from Ash at reception to Manuel in the dining room and Hannah in the spa. The many lounge areas are lovely and very tastefully decorated. This will be our go to hotel when we return to Ambleside! Thank you for an incredible 3 night stay! "

"Really nice hotel, spa was nice. The suites could use some upgrades (the windows) there was water between the glass panels so the view couldn’t be enjoyed as much as it should have been. Especially when the heat was on full as it was -3 and it was just cloudy window panes. "
