"We arrived early. The staff accomodated us nevertheless and msde the room available early. Great location, right in Donsö harbor. The weekend we were ther (Aug 2-3) there were an inter-island race, market, and a boat show. Food was great. Room offered a beutiful view towards the harbor in the west."

"Really scenic location with spacious rooms. The pullout couch is not quite big enough for 2 adults though. Great service, although we were surprised not to be able to get a drink at the hotel."

"Great hotel in a perfect location for central Gothenburg. Staff were friendly and helpful and the bar and restaurant were buzzing at the weekend which made it a fun place to relax with a drink after a day out. We had one of their basic rooms but it was still really spacious. A bonus is that the airport bus stops just across the road from the hotel too."

"I threw in a quick pit stop to Gothenburg from Oslo to Copenhagen. I had originally booked in at a chain property but took another look at my options via TA and decided to come stay at the Hotel Royal. I'm so please with my choice. Great service, beautiful old architecture, comfortable rooms that are laid out well for size (I was in a twin room but had ample room for a large bag). "Perfect for what we wanted as a couple with a 3 year old. We didn’t have high expectations, so all good. The cabin was a bit tired and worn and was boiling hot. Shower good and ice box was large. Play park not brilliant and a bit noisy at night!!"

"Hotel is lovely, modern and has great breakfast options. The dining options directly around the hotel are limited as is the room service menu so we had to travel into the city to have more dinner options. Around the hotel is a little bit of a construction site so you need to walk 5-10mins to get public transport. Staff were all lovely."

Great stay!

"We had a great stay here! The hotel was in a really good location a short walk or tram ride from everything you would want to do. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy! The only thing I would be aware of is that although there is a spa within the hotel you did have to pay to use which we were not aware of. "
