They charge for (small) water bottles, and 5 euros each for a pool towel, to use their rather disappointing pool - ridiculous, as these are usual inclusions at any other reputable hotel. "I had an all-round excellent experience at Borgo dei Saraceni - Domus Indomita. It is located in a safe and quiet area with many dining options within walking distance. "Stayed at several B&Bs during our trip. This one we would not return to. AC wouldn't go below 28c/82f. The beds were really hard, so between the heat and bed it was very hard to sleep. Be prepared to carry your bags up spiral staircase 3 floors without help. Bring a towel for pool, they do not provide. "This hotel has superb facilities, spa, pools, party/meeting rooms.What is deficient, is the information available to guests. The room we were in had no hotel directory, printed or on TV. The restaurant is not well advertised, the menu is not available in the rooms. Same for the room service menus for the restaurant or the bar. Could also use the Express checkout system."
"A pretty amazing place. Looks very luxurious, the restaurant and the meal was super fancy and yet very reasonably priced. We couldn’t understand why the place was mostly empty, but we stayed mid-week, and the place clearly caters to Italians (even the spa menu was only in Italian). A wonderful restaurant that one needs to reserve for an exclusive chef directed dinner. Novel and well prepared. With special touches that Chef Luigi creates. Other excellent restaurants and bistros in walking distance. This boutique hotel is best for adults, but children would be fine —just not at the restaurant. Fresh fruit and chef-baked bread are part of the buffet breakfast as is home made cheeses and condiments. A great place to be after a day walking among ancient ruins and elegant temples."
