We had a great time at Excellence Oyster Bay, food was great, entertainment was great, staff were all very friendly and attentive. Would suggest getting the upgrade to Excellence club as the additional restaurants and beach areas were well worth it. Not much of a repeat traveler but would definitely stay again.

Stayed in beach house which was quiet with amazing beach. Food was OK, just need to find the right dishes - we found simple was better. How’s keeping only came on occasion we didn’t have turned down service half the nights towels were left all over the place at least 90 minutes to place room service orders, even though we had our own but a hot tub which was one of the major amenities was 90° way too cold unfortunately our pool another amenity was 111° and I burnt myself going in Though we were supposed to have priority service. We waited an hour and a half in the lobby to get a cab to go 20 minutes. Many of the welcome gifts they said we were supposed to have never showed up the premium rum. We liked they all of a sudden ran out. If for a private villa, we had numerous people running through our property continually which didn’t offer us much privacy.

Their kindness and dedication transform this resort into a welcoming haven. I am deeply grateful for my experience, especially to Cawayne at the reception, who warmly checked me in and continued to show kindness throughout my stay. My heartfelt thanks go to Mrs. Locke for providing a unique dining experience from day one. Her compassion extends to her staff, ensuring their job satisfaction and demonstrating her outstanding leadership. Thank you to Eric and Oswald at the Martini Bar; your consistent care and attentiveness make a significant impact. I also want to express my gratitude to two servers at the Kitchen Table whose names I didn’t catch (my apologies) and Ryanna, who crafts delicious omelets. Gym was amazing and very well run, clean and organized. Entertainment staff were top notch daily, these staff made up for other let downs.Fun every day. Hibatchi bar was very fun. Breakfast buffet was great. Bars were awesome. Resort very clean amd well maintained. Grounds staff were very caring and cared more than most other. My room must have been by a service corridor, every morning at 6am to 630am the staff were loud, boisterous. not sure how management let that happen, it supposed to be a chill resort. Hot tubs were the same temp as the pool throughout for some reason, when a request by other guest to actually have hottubs was requested nothing happened. Concierge didnt seem to pass on messages and seemed...reluctant to assist or fill questions, reservations etc. We had almost nightly issues with dinner, either we were forgotten about or literaly placed in the worst seat everytime. regardless of how busy the rest was, even when there was nowone on the balcony eating they wouldnt seat us. Restaurant staff were really hit and miss, either they were happy to help or didnt want us or them to be there. Spa is WAY over priced for services, not worth it. Got that from everyone I have been to 2 other excellences, For the price i paid i wouldnt go to Oyster Bay before going to others. For what i paid i dont feel i got value. Go to mexico, Dominican. This was hard to write as there we so many good things. Thanks Shakil, Fabian, Ella, Everton, Aldean and Martin. Youre AMAZING.

Underwhelming overall and hard to understand the high rating Excellence Oyster Bay seems to maintain. For a resort that is fairly new, the premises show a state of disrepair and lack of upkeep indicative of a much older property— faded, stained and damaged furniture, sloppy repairs, etc. Although we met a small number of employees who genuinely seemed keen on providing good service, on the whole there is a general sense of non-care that pervades the place. It takes ages to be served almost everywhere— bars and restaurants— and we had many experiences of places being unmanned or not being acknowledged even if they were. We literally walked out of dinner our last night after sitting for nearly two hours and still not having received our entrees. Towels poolside were seemingly never replenished once gone. We waited in line for lunch at the poolside Jerk Hut, only to have to wait another 30 minutes once we got to the front when they ran out of plates and had to suspend service until more arrived. Perhaps the most aggravating part of all of this is the uncaring attitude of most of the staff. In terms of overall food quality and choice, I’d say it was fair, but with more fails than passes. Desserts were almost uniformly bad. Drinks were okay, but any decent bar should have fresh lemons and limes for drink-making (these bars had none). Many of the bars had cocktail menus, but lacked other ingredients to make the drinks that were described.

The property is beautiful however the couch and love seat in the room looked soiled and so nasty as we requested our room to be changed but was told it was just wear and tear

Had I not already stayed at an excellence resort last year(Dominican republic) I would of probably given 5 stars. Unfortunately in comparison oyster bay has a few things to work on. A big reason we immediately started looking to book another vacation with an excellence resort was the staff interactions and the great variety of activities to participate in. We are early risers and in the Dominican Republic the pool games/activities/yoga started early and continued all day. The staff was very friendly and interactive and got you involved. The staff at oyster bay was very friendly but at times I felt like they were on vacation too. I think we had drink service to our lounge chairs twice in the 6 days we stayed so you are kinda on your own as far as ordering and grabbing your own drinks. I do no want to discount how beautiful the property is and how wonderful the food was but for me there definitely is room for improvement

The private beach was great. Fresh coconuts every morning and plenty of options for restaurants. Pools were in awkward places by restaurants. The spa is small but the staff is lovely. Being that the property is so new, I was shocked to see they need a little updating already. It could be a little cleaner but the rooms are beautiful. The food is good for resort food and there are great options for excursions. We felt very safe. The service is a little slow, but if you don’t mind that, you’ll be fine. There’s a coffee bar that’s open late and it’s very good. Most of the entertainment was good. The staff is wonderful there and you’ll enjoy your stay.
