"The property sits among redwood trees and is beautiful and clean. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. It was quiet at night. The reason i am giving it a 4 rating is because the website lists a grill and picnic table under cabin accommodations. We expected them to be at our cabin. They are not. There is a grill for the cabins to share about 80 feet from our cabin. There was no picnic table by the grill so there was no place to put anything. "I love Arcata. The square has too many homeless people, and some are pretty aggressive. After travelling all over the country, i should add that this is an issue everywhere and not just Arcata. It is a nice old original hotel and i enjoyed it alot. I will happily stay there again."

"Pros: Convenient place to stay for Redwood National Park. Staff was friendly, room was clean and quiet, and felt safe. Breakfast had lots of options. Great shower and no problems with the wifi. Cons: The outdoor patio area did not look quite like the picture and they charged us for a washcloth with makeup on it which is unusual, so be aware of that. Overall good place to stay. "
