"This was our stop on the way from London to Austria. Very good location (close to motorway) and a huge car park. Hotel and rooms could do with fresh decor but everything was clean. Our room was very spacious with big and comfy bed. Bathroom was well equipped. Big selection of food (hot & cold) to choose from. Overall pleasant stay..... "

"Years ago when we lived in Ettlingen I admired the historic hotel Watthalden property and we had a very happy stay there this summer. The hotel is nicely decorated, the suites are spacious with kitchenette facilities, we found the breakfast buffet to be excellent, and the surrounding area by the Alb River is beautiful and serene. We were just a short walk to town with its wonderful dining,

and shopping. Short walk to the train for Karlsruhe and beyond. Lovely stay!"

"Unfortunately, the hotel does not have AC. And most months you might not need it. But in the summer (July) it was hot and humid and there was no airflow when opening the window. It was terribly hot and unbearable. Also, I booked a double bed room and got a single. When I inquired, they said that double bed rooms are single ones?!?! Either hotels.com or the hotel itself needs to change the description and pictures I felt cheated and was very unhappy with that. The room was very, very small and...

"Welcoming and friendly place in central Buehl 6 minute walk from the station. A cracking hotel with very friendly and kind staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. The room was small but perfectly clean and functional. A lovely waterside bar to enjoy a perfect pint of beer. The breakfast was well presented and had a lovely selection served by kind and smiling host. I really enjoyed my stay here and the area is wonderful."
