"Great place to stay, walkable from station even with luggage. Very clean and quiet. Good service and the staff was very helpful. Ironing was inconvenient as they don’t allow iron in the rooms - they make iron available to use in a common conference room. "

"We have stayed in some pretty special places but the Grand National Hotel has been right at the top of them. The staff, especially Tim Oberli in the front office, was attentive and helpful. We would definitely recommend a stay here. "

"Nice hotel close to the train station, breakfast was above average, they have a cute dinning area that has supplies like glasses, silverware and access to tea/coffee/water if you wanted to buy meals outside the hotel! We were able to leave our luggage after checkout with no fees which was a bonus! "

"Fantastic stay, in a beautiful location with easy transport links. Room was perfect with an amazing lake view. Lovely food and service in the bar area, but had some issues with dining room in main restaurant, this was addressed effectively at reception. Overall a fantastic stay."
