"Hallmark is more of a party hotel. I was looking forward to having dinner on the roof top over looking the city at sunset, but instead I was met with hookah bar with DJ loud music and a staff looking at me strangely when I asked for food. "This is a beautiful unit in a neighborhood where white people cannot safely walk. That is not my opinion-the desk clerk escorted us to the grocery and back, made sure our Uber was in front before we left the lobby, etc. The area is not rundown. "The room was comfortable and the staff was courteous. The food at the restaurant was very tasty. The restaurant did not always have everything on the menu. Later I figured out it is likely due to resource management. For instance 3 out of the 4 days we were there they didnt have drip coffee. This is likely because there were hardly any guests so they dont make a pot of coffee. However on a day they had an influx of guests, it magically appeared. "This place is nothing as advertised and just a disappointment all around. If you are simply looking for a bed to sleep in and nothing more then it is fine. But the rooms are old and look as though they are hardly taken care of. It felt as though I was at a distant family member's house who wasn't prepared for me to stay the night."
