"Lake Hotel Gistihusid Egisstadir was night 6 for us on our journey around Iceland’s famous ring road. This hotel was seemed a little out of the way but perfectly placed for our itinerary. There was an on-site restaurant, and many groups stayed for the night. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the guests all seemed very happy. We stayed in a ground-floor room that overlooked the countryside. It was remote and peaceful. We had a lovely evening here. "

"There were some bugs when we arrived. They were getting in through some door trim looked to have come undone due to high winds. Overall, we enjoyed this property and the restaurant. Very friendly and they have good gin. "
