She also spent some time telling me about her family history on the island which was truly fascinating. An airport pickup and drop off was also included. Thanks Edith!"

"This lovely B&B was the ideal accommodation on Easter Island. The friendly host will pick you up at the airport with flowers and give you a quick tour of the town. The room was large, clean and comfortable with ocean view — perfect for just relaxing and letting "island time" tick away. There was an AC unit, but the ocean breezes were our preferred air conditioning. You can easily walk to the coast with moai’s to gaze at the sunset. It’s a further walk to town center, but that gives your more opportunity to let time tick away."

"Patricia met us at the airport with flower garlands and a beaming smile, she is so lovely and helpful. Got to the Cabanas and only a 5 min walk to the seafront, perfect location. The cabanas are not 5 star luxury but everything was clean and worked. The bedroom is upstairs and the stairs are quite step, so probably not for you if you have mobility issues. I must admit when I first saw the beds, I thought they looked uncomfortable, but they were fine and slept well every night. Patricia also had arranged the tours for us which were all brilliant. She texted me every morning to make sure all ok and if we needed anything, as she lives close by. If you want a cheaper option than the hotels on the island I recommend these cabanas. "

"Amazing stay in a lovely, quiet property. Incredible and personalised service from day one from all the staff. Rooms very specious in a house set up, nice and cosy pool. We booked a half board package and dinner at restaurant excellent and big portions, friendly service. The package included private tour per day (with snacks and drinks) which was a great plus considering tour prices on island. Also pick up and drop off at airport. Definitely a great property to enjoy the island and totally recommended"

"Hotel Hatu Matua is exactly what we wanted: affordable, clean, pleasant, delightful gardens, kind, helpful staff, walkable to town center. We had a pleasant stay. Laundry was sent out and returned promptly. All good! I’d stay again."
