"I loved staying at Casa Regina in the town of Tamaimo. The hosts were great and the breakfast was lovely. They even did me a pack up the morning I left due to an early flight home. The only slight downside is my room had a shared bathroom, which I didn’t realise at the time of booking. "

"Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Superb location for anyone that loves golf, biking, hiking or indeed lazing by the pool. Felt like we had the place to ourselves even though the restaurant was relatively busy each evening. The staff are instinctively helpful at every turn and just a five day break felt like a fortnight. Well-being in a week right here! Chapeau to the HDC team and I’m sure I’ll be back with my golf clubs at some point to play Seve’s 18 👌"

"It is important to note that this is a very small hostel. But that being said, they treat everybody that walks in their door like family. Alejandro the manager is so attentive and friendly and excited about life. He is the perfect host and a cornucopia of information about the island and all the hiking that can be done there. "Perfect location for lots of hiking and running routes. The hotel is clean and has great facilities, pool, gym and onsite laundry for a few euros. Parking is hard to come by although there are places to park on the street, it is pretty busy and we ended up with a scuff on the hire car on the first morning return to the car where someone had obviously tried to park behind us but failed! Food was good but the options are LIMITED! Usually only 2 mains each night one veggie, one not."

"Out 5th stay at the Vallemar and standards remain consistently high. An excellent frontline hotel with a wonderful roof terrace and pool. The hotel restaurant overlooks the Lago Martínez and provides a large range of buffet style dishes with produce sourced from its own organic farm. The restaurant staff are professional and attentive. Another very enjoyable visit!"

"Kooky building with a rooftop terrace that's good for eating and relaxing. Friendly staff. We had a private double room with it's own bathroom that was perfect. Only downside, small kitchen that's a squeeze once a few people want to prep / cook. Also barely any space to store food. Took a peek at the dorm rooms and they look a squeeze. Parking is on the streets nearby which are VERY busy in the evening, so took a fair bit of searching to find a space."
